The Voice Nigeria is the Nigerian version of the global Music Reality Show, the Voice. It is a musical talent hunt. The voice is registered in over 50 countries inn the World across all the continents. The Voice 2016 is the premier edition of the show in Nigeria. In this article we will be taking a look at all the Voice Nigeria 2016 contestants, states of origin, their, teams, coaches, the hosts of the show and the channels it aired.

The voice Nigeria was first broadcast in the country on 10th of April, 2016.  It was aired on AfricaMagic Urban and AfricaMagic showcase channels of DSTV. It is sponsored by Airtel in conjunction with Coca Cola.

The Voice Nigeria Judges And Their Teams

The Voice Nigeria 2016 Edition had a total of Four teams and forty eight contestant. Each is headed by one by a coach and comprises of 12 contestants each. The four The Voice Nigeria judges are established Nigerian Music Icons and they are, 2Baba/2Face Idibia, Timi Dakolo, Waje and Patoranking. The Voice Nigeria 2016 contestants are coached by these music stars who also happen to be their mentors.

The VOICE NIGERIA 2016 Stages

The show consists of six stages as follows: blind listening, duels, knockouts, quarterfinals, semi-finals and finals. In the preliminary stages, The Voice Nigeria 2016 contestants showcase their talents and in final part, the audience will decide who stays and who goes home by voting for their Favorite contestants. The winner of the competition gets the title ‘The best voice of the country’, cash bonus and signs the contract with leading recording studio in the country.
