JAMB Withdraws 2016 Admission List: The Joint Admission And Matriculation Board, JAMB has made a U-turn on the 2016 admission consideration list sent to Universities. The board yesterday announced the withdrawal of the 2016 Admission Consideration List that it earlier sent to the tertiary institutions.

The news was contained in statement issued in Abuja and signed by JAMB’s Head of Media, Dr. Fabian Benjamin. In the statement, the JAMB media chief stated that the withdrawal was to ensure that the university senate perform its statutory responsibility.
The statement reads; “This is to ensure that the University Senate perform its statutory responsibility of conducting the selection of candidates and refer it to JAMB for confirmation in line with the admission criteria of merit, catchment and educationally disadvantaged states as directed by the Hon Minister of Education at the policy committee meeting.
“The earlier list was sent to help fast track the process of admission so as to allow other tiers of institutions also conduct their admission.”
“Candidates should not panic because this is part of the process of the 2016 admission exercise. JAMB regrets any inconvenience this decision would have caused the tertiary institutions.”

“The Board regrets any inconvenience it’s proactive step would have caused the tertiary institutions”.

As JAMB Withdraws 2016 Admission List, schools are now free to conduct a Post-UTME screening for their candidates. This gives a chance to all candidates including those not contained in the earlier released Admission consideration list by JAMB but scored above school cut off marks.

The withdrawal of 2016 Admission List by JAMB has further deepened the confusion in the Educational sector over 2016 Admission process.
Following the earlier cancellation of the Post-UTME, by the Federal Government through the minister of Education, there has been lots of confusion here and there. At some point, there was news of a point system which JAMB came out to deny. And so many other high profile rumours.
As JAMB Withdraws 2016 Admission List, we at Dewlite.com urge the Candidates to remain strong as the end of the confusions is very near.
