MTN Project Fame West Africa is the biggest musical talent hunt in west Africa and it is sponsored by MTN. Project Fame season 9 audition stage has been completed. The final project fame season 9 contestants have been selected by the panel of Judges. We will be taking a look at all the MTN Project Fame Season 9 Contestants and their profiles in this article.
These project project fame contestants will live in the project fame Academy for 10 weeks. In this Period all the MTN Project Fame Season 9 Contestants, will be wowing and entertaining Africa and the world. Lets meet the contestants below.

1. OLADAPO AYOOLA AROGUNDADE
Age: 18 Years
Gender: Male
Place origin: Dapo hails from Abeokuta, Ogun state, Nigeria.
Occupation: Engineering undergraduate of the University of Lagos, Akoka
Musical Interest: Wizkid, Davido, and Chris Brown
Musical Influence: His interest in music started at the age of seven when he began following his mum to choir rehearsals; and he became sure of his talent having repeatedly won a music competition in secondary school.
Family: He enjoys an amazing relationship with his family of six but will mostly miss his mum while in the Academy.
2. PERE DAVIES ATIE
Age: 26 Years
Gender: Male
Place Of Origin: Bayelsa State, Nigeria
Occupation: 300 Level Political Science student at the Niger Delta University
Musical Interest: He sees singing as an opportunity to express himself and not to impress; and at every opportunity, he makes effort to express himself excellently. He has been auditioning since 2010 not deterred by by the past, he is finally here as one of the Project Fame Season 9 Contestants.
Musical Influence: Beyonce, Christina Aguilera, Whitney Houston, Tubaba, Iyanya, and Sheyi Shay.
Family: Born and raised in Lagos, Pere moved to Bayelsa State Nigeria immediately after secondary school.
3. FAVOUR KOROMA
Age: 23 years
Gender: Female
Place Of Origin: Sierra Leone
Occupation: Music
Musical Interest: –
Musical Influence: Her dad’s musical influence has rubbed off on the family as she has a brother who plays the Piano while the others are vocalists.
Family: She has a Sierra Leonean dad who is a musician and a Nigerian mum – a dancer. She was born, bred and currently lives in Egbeda, Lagos with her family. She had her high school education at the Campus Comprehensive College. In 2010, Favour lost her mum whom she describes as very strict. She wished her mum was here now as she has always wanted Favour on Project Fame.
Other Interests: Her passion includes singing, barbing and playing. She describes herself as troublesome and looks forward to having fun in the competition
4.ELI LETSA
Age: 22 Year old
Gender: Male
Place Of Origin: Ghana
Occupation: Eli is currently studying Fashion Designing in Ghana.
Musical Interest: He grew up in a house where they enjoy listening to music.
Musical Influence: Timi Dakolo and Tuface.
Family: He holds his family and pastor dearly and would miss them greatly while in the Academy.
Other Interests: Eli also enjoys playing the guitar and basket ball, Single and ready to mingle, Eli however sees the Academy as one the MTN Project Fame Season 9 Contestants, as serious business and not a place to mingle.
5. ELIZABETH JOLADE EMORUWA (ELBE)
Age: 24 years
Gender: Female
Place Of Origin: Nigeria
Occupation: She studied Mass Communication at Eruwa Campus of the prestigious Ibadan Polytechnic, Oyo State.
Musical Interest: Singing as a hobby. Auditioning for Project Fame in Lagos was her very first real audition; and she is here to define her musical journey.
Musical Influence: Very early in life, her Dad introduced every member of her family to music, got them musical instruments, hence she sees him as her first musical influence.
Family: As the last child of the house, she enjoyed attention from her dad until his death in 2013.
Other Interests: Apart from singing in the kitchen and bathroom, other interest are; talking and swimming (even if she has never tried it before).
6.GABRIEL ANKRAH (GABBY)
Age: 27 Years
Gender: Male
Place Of Origin: Accra Ghana
Occupation: Teacher
Musical Interest: – He loves God, music, and children
Musical Influence: Kesse, James Arthur, Frank Ocean, and Brymo.
Family: Being an only child, Gabriel is very close to his Dad whom he said taught him almost everything, cooking, especially. Also, because he is an only child, Gabriel hopes to have six children, so he can make up for the large family experience he didn’t have.
Other Interests: Gabby also plays the piano and drums.
7. KITAY OKOTETE( WARRI BOY)

Gender: Male
Place Of Origin: Warri, Nigeria
Occupation: 300 Level student of the Vocation & Technical Studies department in Ambrose Alli University in Edo state.
Musical Interest: This music enthusiast auditioned for Project Fame in Season 8 in Abuja, but he did not make it to Top 24 even though he got a YES. He decided to give Fame another shot this year in Mtn Project Fame Season 9 at the Port Harcourt audition.
Musical Influence: Music for him started when Dad began taking him to church. He joined the choir and continued to school himself in music. Kitay won a gospel music competition in Warri in 2013.
Family: He is the 5th child of a large family.
Other Interests: Kitay enjoys playing football.
8. MIRABEL AYAVORO
Age: 21 years
Gender: Female
Place Of Origin: Delta State Nigeria
Occupation: Fashion and designing. Mirabel is a graduate of Babcock Business School.
Musical Interest: She is a staunch music lover. Although the competition is stiff, the music lover believes grace will single her out. She is looking forward to meeting and being trained by Uncle Ben in the Academy.

Other Interests: She is also a white belter in Karate. According to her, her interest in Karate was kindled through watching action movies. A strange and funny one for a lady isn’t it.
9. OKIEMUTE IGHORODJE

Musical Interest: A first timer on Project Fame Season 9, Okiemute made the decision to participate this season because she was certain she had built enough confidence, hence she took part in the Port Harcourt audition.
Musical Influence: Okiemute’s musical influence is one of her sisters, that puts her at fore front of any music-related activity.
Family: She is the third of four girls in a family of six.

Musical Interest: He loves Fuji blend of music
Musical Influence: From a very staunch Muslim background, you would wonder how he veered into music; the Lagos State Polytechnic alumnus just discovered this innate talent when he saw music in everything-even while reciting Quran and Islamic prayers.
Family: Yusuph is the 4th child among four other siblings. As a strict Alhaji, his dad initially did not support his music quest, but Yusuph’s presence on Project Fame has earned Dad’s total support.
