Cristiano Ronaldo to Renew contract: Portugal and Real Madrid super star, Cristiano Ronaldo has quashed every rumor linking him to a move away from Madrid. The 31 year old 2016 world richest athlete has reiterated that he wants to remain at the Estadio Santiago Bernabeu.
Speaking to news men while on a deserved summer holidays Ronaldo spoke on several issue. He confirmed that he is completely ruled out of the UEFA Super Cup clash against sevill on the 9th of next month. He also spoke of what he called his best season so far and on his chances of winning the BalLon d’Or this year.
“I spoke to the president (Florentino Perez) on the phone and when I get back to Madrid, we’ll talk
(over a new deal).”
“Obviously it’s something I want.”
On the just concluded season and his performance, Ronaldo said,
“This season has been the best of my career,” he added. “I won two major titles, with my club and country, so it was something unique.”
“It was a very emotional moment to win the Undecima. Winning the trophy is incredible, every time I look at it I see the memories of when I won it for the first time with Manchester United as well as my triumphs with Madrid.”
Ronaldo who recently captained Portugal to a historic Euro 2016 win in France. He sustained an injury in the final of that competition and he insists that the injury has ruled him out of the Real Madrid super cup clash against Sevilla on August 9.
“I’m completely ruled out of the Super Cup on the 9th because I return to work on the 10th,” said Ronaldo.
On the FIFA 2016 Ballon d’Or he said: “It’s out of my hands. But I’ll admit that I’m in a good position given that I won the Champions League and the European Championship.”
